Lisa A Brown, Accountant

Lisa Brown decided to start her own accounting firm in 2011 as Lisa A Brown & Associates, LLC.  In 2014, she incorporated her firm as Brown & Brown Accounting, Inc. to signify her nephew Joseph Brown as an integral member of the company, to which he will make partner after receiving his CPA designation - Brown & Brown is a family owned & operated business.

Ms. Brown earned her Bachelors of Science in Accounting (BS Accounting) from the University of Massachusetts' Charlton College of Business, and has more than 32 years’ experience in Accounting, Tax, Bookkeeping, Payroll, and Software services.

Lisa has a genuine care and understanding of her clients and is available for them anytime they need help; she routinely gives out her personal cell number so people can reach her after hours.

Ms. Brown continues to pursue further education in her field. Lisa has passed Part I of the IRS Enrolled Agent Exam (SEE), which covers Individual, including retirement, gift and estate taxation.

Joseph Brown

Staff Accountant

Joseph Brown joined Brown & Brown Accounting in 2012 after graduating from high school, where he was an active participant in the school's robotics team, played varsity level sports, refereed teams throughout all of his high school years, and was involved in student government. Brown graduated with technical honors.  

All this experience has paid off, and Joseph brings great value to the firm with his team building experiences and leadership roles. 

Brown started off as a bookkeeper, and has been promoted to staff accountant. He has earned his Associates in Accounting, and is now working towards his Bachelors of Science in Accounting at the University of Massachusetts' Charlton College of Business. 

Joseph's goal is to sit for the CPA exam, and become partner in Brown & Brown Accounting, Inc.
